10th Annual Toys for Tots Charity Action Pistol Match

 The 10th Annual Tim Daugherty Toys for Tots Charity Action Pistol Match will be Friday, November 4 though Saturday, November 5, 2011 at Mid-Carolina Rifle Club in Columbia, SC.  In lieu of a match fee, competitors are asked to donate a $20.00 toy (or cash donation) to the USMC's Toys for Tots program.  All proceeds will be donated to Toys for Tots. This year we will be offering this match on a two day format.  This will allow us to accommodate more competitors than the 1 day format from previous years. 

Mid-Carolina Rifle Club is also hosting the 2011 U.S. International Practical Shooting Confederation (I.P.S.C) National Championship, which will run concurrently with the Toys for Tots match.  Toys for Tots competitors will compete on the same courses of fire as the I.P.S.C. National Championship.  Because both matches will run concurrently, we will have several international competitors and media coverage.  To register and find more information, click:

2010 Tim Daugherty Memorial Toys for Tots

Charity Action Pistol Match, December 11, 2010

 

The Tim Daugherty Memorial Toys for Tots Action Pistol Match was held December 11, 2010.   Since 2001, Mid-Carolina Rifle Club has hosted the event in support of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve’s Toys for Tots program.  In lieu of a match fee, competitors were asked to donate a toy or make amonetary donation to Toys for Tots.  We had a total of 118 competitors. We collected over 200 toys and raised a total raised $6,450 which included donations from other disciplines at MCRC (Cowboy Action, IDPA, High-power Rifle, Steel Silhouette, and Steel Challenge).   Again, thanks to everyone who supported this cause and thanks to the Marines of the 4th LAR for running the program in S.C.   The Match is named in memory of Tim Daugherty, Former USPSA Section Coordinator, Mid-Carolina Rifle Club member, and Marine who passed away in August of 2008.                                                                                                    Tim Daugherty
