Section News:

After 10 years of serving as your Section Coordinator, I have decided to

step down effective January 1, 2011.  am doing so because I believe it

is time for some fresh ideas in the South Carolina Section.  I appreciate

the support I have received over the past years and I look forward to

working with the new Section Coordinator to continue the growth of our

 sport in South Carolina.

Per our bylaws, the Section Coordinator is elected by affiliated

club presidents/USPSA match directors for a two year term during a

meeting at our Section Championship.  Since I am resigning as of

January 1, before our championship, I am hoping that we can elect a

new Section Coordinator without having to convene in person.  If you

are interested in serving as the Section Coordinator, please contact

your club representative and have them notify me so that I can share

that person’s name and credentials with other clubs in the section for

 vote and approval.

Again, thank you for your support over the last 10 years.

Another one is in the books. Thanks to everyone who braved the weather - we actually got lucky. We had a total of 90 competitors. We raised $3045 at the match and collected approximately 200 toys. We collected another $3500 in donations from other disciplines at MCRC for a total of $6545.00!!    The number of toys collected was down this year probably because of the weather, however, the amount of cash collected was a new record! Again, thanks to everyone who supported this cause and thanks to the Marines of the 4th LAR for running the program in S.C.  I would also like to thank all of our SPONSORS who supported this event.
